Many people today are controlled by their feelings. They think that if they feel something it must be true. They fail to recognize that feelings are very fleeting. When we think this way, we act this way. Negative feelings lead to negative thoughts and negative thoughts lead to negative self-talk and then to negative/destructive behavior.

When we are controlled by our thoughts/feelings, without realizing it, we blame everything on external factors. We can waste a lot of time being angry, sad or despaired over meaningless things without realizing the answer lies in how we manage our thoughts/feelings. If our thoughts/feelings are not controlled, our only choice is believing them. You may think you cannot control your thoughts/feelings. This is absolutely not true.

When we don't control our thoughts/feelings we are not in charge of our behavior. Our feelings are telling us how to act. Remember feelings are unreliable and not to be trusted when making decisions.
